When we look at the world around us, it’s clear that we are living in uncertain and troubling times. From the rise of social media to the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, misinformation and propaganda seem to be increasing at an overwhelming pace. While deception has always existed, the sheer volume and influence we see today can feel unsettling.
Yet as believers, we are not without understanding or hope. Even when things appear unclear, we have the Word of the Lord to anchor us. In Matthew 24:6–8, Jesus speaks of wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. He reminds us that these are the beginning of sorrows and tells us not to be troubled, for such things must come to pass. Though these events have occurred throughout history, their intensity and frequency seem to be increasing.
As we observe current events, it can feel as though the stage is being set for what Scripture describes. While we may not see the full picture yet, we can recognize patterns that align with biblical prophecy. This should not lead us to fear, but to awareness and trust in God’s sovereign plan.
It’s natural for our hearts to feel heavy at times. The unknown can stir anxiety, and our flesh may try to pull us toward fear. But we are not left defenseless. God’s Word not only guides us—it fills us with peace and equips us to share hope with a world that desperately needs it.
Today, instead of focusing on uncertainty, choose to rest in truth. Let God’s promises steady your heart, and allow His peace to guard your mind. No matter what unfolds around us, we can stand firm knowing that He is in control.
